Every year on Christmas Eve my grandparents and sometimes my aunt and uncle come to my house to eat and spend time together. On Christmas day we go to my Pop’s house to take him out to eat because he’s really old and lives all by himself so he never drives anywhere but every day he walks around the neighborhood for the entire day and picks up change he finds on the side of the road. One time when we were at his house my sister and I counted how much change he had collected and he had $108. He used to walk 28 miles a day but now he walks like, 10 miles because he fishes in the river behind his house. You’re not supposed to eat more than two of the fish that you catch in the river a year because it’s so polluted that you’ll get really sick if you eat too many fish. One time Pop caught a fish that are usually really small and it was mutated so it was gigantic and ate shrimp and cookies and bread and stuff. He had to put water from the river in the fishtank because it couldn’t live in the cleaner water or it would die.
Cool about your grandfather picking up change! Not so cool for the fish. Haha.
That is awesome!! I totally want to just pick up change as my living!!
