After waiting in line for almost an hour, my friends and I had finally made it onto the roller coaster. Then I began to have second thoughts.
Was the ride really as safe as they say it is?
What if something went wrong? I suddenly became very scared and wanted to get off the ride. But not wanting to disappoint my friendsI decided to stay. The car slowly started to inch forward. It seemed like forever as we slowly crept up the steep hill. When we finally reached the top I looked down but I could hardly see anything because we were so high off the ground.
We started quickly descending, it seemed like the tracks went straight down to the ground without any slope. I slid to the top of the seat, my shoulders pushing against the restraints like I was weightless. If the shoulder bars hadn’t been there to pull me down I would have just stayed floating at the top of the hill.
We finally reached the turn that waited at the bottom and after a long ride around the rest of the track the car slowed to a stop. I was very glad that I chose to stay on the ride but I’ll admit, I’m glad the line was too long to wait again.
Haha Heather, roller coasters rock, no matter how long the line is:) But your story was super, it was really descriptive, and I could tell how you really felt.
Heather that was awesome, your story is really descriptive! I really liked when you said, “We started quickly descending, it seemed like the tracks went straight down to the ground without any slope.”
